Crosby

This is a much-frequented watering-place, near Crosby Point, at the mouth of the Mersey. It contains 3,794 inhabitants, an excellent free grammar and girls’ school. In the vicinity is Crosby Hall, the seat of William Blundell Esq., whose family have held the manor for upwards of seven centuries.
